The GE Healthcare Mobile Care Server hosts Mobile Viewers for remote monitoring. Mobile Viewers (Web/Pocket/Cellular Viewer) are a set of applications that let you access monitoring information remotely and securely from anywhere within or outside the hospital, at the point of need, using standard and secure technologies.
Web Viewer can be used with a standard or tablet PC through a wireless, dial-up, or Internet connection to view patient data. You have access to real-time waveforms, numerics, alarms, and trends.
Pocket Viewer provides the same information via a wireless, pocket-sized, Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) even through cell phone connections - no matter where you are.
Cellular Viewer uses an ordinary cell phone (restrictions apply) to keep clinicians connected and aware of the patientís status. This breakthrough application combines remote monitoring systems and telecommunications, and provides the means for offsite hospital personnel to deliver care.
Mobile Viewers have a password-validated access control and configurable access rights to prevent unauthorised use. Hospital administrator can also specify on user account level which monitoring locations every user is able to access and if patient names are shown or not.
System includes a built-in SSL algorithm to encrypt all data transfer between client devices and Mobile Care Server. Mobile Care Server can use hospital specific certificate to indicate to users that they are accessing the right server.
Mobile Care Server has several safety features like pre-configured firewall and virus detection. The new Rack Server option includes also redundant NICís, power, hard disks and fans for better uptime and reliability.
