Pectoralis Major Tendon Repair Surgical Technique

The pectoralis major muscle allows for internal rotation, forward flexion, and adduction of the shoulder. The pectoralis major tendon has two heads, the clavicular and sternocostal head, that insert into the lateral side of the intertubercular sulcus of the humerus. This muscle is commonly torn due to an acute injury and often tears at the bone-tendon insertion site.

Repairing the pectoralis major tendon involves fixating the tendon back down to its anatomical footprint. The TruShot with Y-Knot 1.8mm all-suture anchor can be used to complete this repair.
